After serving a mission in Nagoya, Japan, Martin Tanner obtained a BA in Finance from the University of Utah, then a JD, from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. Martin contributed to the Encyclopedia of Mormonism and has written articles for the FARMS, now the Maxwell Institute. He is on the Board of Editors of The Interpreter Foundation, and co-founder and CEO of the Utah Chapter of the International Association for Near-death Studies (IANDS). Martin is a Manager and Director at The Mediation Group, LLC, which provides consulting, mediation and other dispute resolution services. Martin often debates critics of the Church on the radio, TV, Internet, in church settings and on university campuses. Since 2019, for 29 years, he has hosted the Religion Today Show on KSL Radio, broadcast every Sunday morning at 6:30 AM, and again Sunday evening at 9:30 PM. Martin is on the High Council in Cottonwood Heights Stake, married and the proud father of four children.
