CAMILLE FRONK OLSON is currently a Professor in the Department of Ancient Scripture at BYU and the former department chair. She plans to retire her position in January 2018. She earned a Ph.D. In Sociology and Middle Eastern Studies and a Master’s Degree in Near Eastern Studies. Her dissertation focused on Palestinian families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. She has been a faculty member at the BYU Center for Near Eastern Studies in Jerusalem. Previously, she was Dean of Students at LDS Business College and taught institute and seminary in the Salt Lake area. She has published books and articles that focus on history and culture in biblical times, women in scripture, LDS doctrine, and Palestinian families. Her fervent testimony and passion for the Holy Land and related scriptures is infectious and will contribute to make this trip unforgettable.
