Jay Osmond is a member of the famous performing Osmond family. He has been performing with them since the age 2 1/2. Jay is the drummer of the group and was voted one of the top drummers of the country in the 70’s. The brothers were discovered by Walt Disney which led to nine years as regulars on the Andy Williams show. They were guest stars on many shows, such as Jerry Lewis, Glen Campbell, Sonny & Cher, and the list goes on and on. He was also the executive producer of the Donny & Marie Show. With over 50 gold and platinum records to their credit, Jay sang lead on hits Crazy Horses and One Way Ticket to Anywhere. Some of Jay’s favorite memories are performing for several United States presidents and twice before the Queen of England. When celebrating the Osmonds 50 years of show business, Jay along with his brothers and sister, was honored to be able to sing along with the Mormon Tabernacle choir.
Jay just recently graduated from BYU with a degree in communications. When not performing with the brothers, he enjoys speaking and motivating others and helping them along their way however he can. His faith in the gospel and positive outlook on life are what he shares as his strengths in life. Jay was single until the age of 32, then after a difficult 23 year marriage was divorced. His heart goes out to the many LDS singles and he understands their struggles. Jay and his wife, Karen Randall Osmond were sealed by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland in the Salt Lake City Temple. They currently live in St. George Utah, and have been married two years, but consider themselves to be newlyweds.
