HEADLINERS: Matthew Grey, Ph.D.

Matthew Grey is an associate professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University, where he teaches courses on the New Testament, the life of Jesus, and the archaeology of Roman Palestine. He received an M.A. in archaeology and the history of antiquity from Andrews University, an M. St. in Jewish Studies from the University of Oxford, and a Ph.D. in archaeology and the history of early Judaism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Grey has been an associate research fellow at the William F. Albright Institute for Archaeological Research in Jerusalem, has conducted research on the biblical world in Israel, Jordan, Italy, and Greece, and is currently an area supervisor over the archaeological excavations of the Roman-era village and synagogue at Huqoq in Israel’s Galilee region.”
